All that’s dead.

“They’re gonna try to kick you around. You better fight for your life.”

“We spent some time together crying, spent some time just trying
to let each other go. I
held your hand so very tightly
and told you what I would be dreaming of.”

-The Perishers

“Lets talk that sun into setting. Just need the sound of your voice.
Need that calming and the comfort, something to drown out the noise.”

“I’m living, learning, growing and changing, just to find what this all means.
You find strength in what you hold in your hands, that’s not for me.
I’ll stay free.”

I broke my glasses. -.- But I’m literally legally blind or whatever so it’s kinda important for me working and stuff. Conveniant timing, though, my taxxxes are getting done today so I’ll have some refund cash soon. Or at least I’d better. Oh also I really want Curren$y’s new album but I can’t find the drops ANYwhere. FUDGE.

I was pretty skeptical about Brian Fallon branching off from the Gaslight Anthem. I mean as a diehard Gaslight fan I expect a lot from him and anyone he collaborates with so I was prepared for a letdown. But… my god. I think The Horrible Crowes might just be the best thing since the guy who pointed out that bread is square and bologna is round.

I drive this car through the city every night
There’s a quiet I never heard before
And lonely, my sister could not describe
All the good things gone wrong

And there was blood on my teeth
From the long winter here
Bones broke in half
A stain on my shirt
From a couple hours out with the boys
And all good things come to an end
And all memory has left my bones

If I drove straight off this bridge
Only God and my baby would know
I’m sure she’d be laughing, conjuring spring
With some fella who just said the right thing

And there’d be blood on my teeth
From the long winter here
Bones broke in half
A stain on my shirt
From a couple hours out with the boys
And all good things come to an end

See all I can do is think about you
And miss all your kisses like the spring
But if I had a sign
That one day you’d be mine again, oh no
If I could hold you right then
As the chill in this season sputtered and spit and died with…

Blood on my teeth
From just what they did here
Snow tumbling down on the ground
And me stumbling out of my heart
Finding cherry blossoms on the hood of my car

and 14 inch red lines for that dusty road.”

“They know just where my head is. Where my head is, where I’m headed is, the sky.”

“I turned the music loud and put on my own recital.
In a room full of my idols, made me less suicidal.”

“Keep your head up high.
Keep mine deep in the ground. Hide away the love that I found.
It’s a world that I can’t get out.”

“I hope you bought the moon, I hope you reach the stars. I hope you found the things that you already lost.
I hope you have it all, I hope you have it all.
I hope you got to see everything you dreamed. I hope you saw the things that you ain’t see in me.
I hope you have it all, I hope you have it all. I hope you live it, hope you get it, hope you got it.
I hope you find it, hope you see it, hope you watch it. I hope you want it, hope you like it, hope you love it.
I hope you achieve it, hope you reach it, hope you touch it.”

This is the most wonderful thing I have ever read on the internet, and I’m not biased just because I got it from my best friend. Just a glimpse.
Via Madeline Jobczynski:

“I’ve learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone
who can be loved. The rest is up to them. I’ve learned that no matter how much I
care, some people just don’t care back. I’ve learned that it takes years to
build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it. I’ve learned that it’s not what
you have in your life, but who you have in your life that counts. I’ve learned
that you can get by on charm for about 15 minutes. After that, you’d better know
something. I’ve learned that you shouldn’t compare yourself to the best others
can do, but to the best you can do. I’ve learned that it’s not what happens to
people that’s important. It’s what they do about it. I’ve learned that no matter
how thin you slice it, there are always two sides. I’ve learned that it’s taking
me a long time to become the person I want to be. I’ve learned that it’s a lot
easier to react than it is to think. I’ve learned that you should always leave
loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them. I’ve learned
that you can keep going long after you think you can’t. I’ve learned that we are
responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel. I’ve learned that either you
control your attitude or it controls you. I’ve learned that heroes are the
people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the
consequences. I’ve learned that learning to forgive takes practice. I’ve learned
that there are people who love you dearly, but just don’t know how to show it.
I’ve learned that money is a lousy way of keeping score. I’ve learned that my
best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time. I’ve
learned that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you’re down will
be the ones to help you get back up. I’ve learned that sometimes when I’m angry
I have the right to be angry, but that doesn’t give me the right to be cruel.”

I really wish I could meet you one day, Joey. Maybe we’d get to talking and find out we have some things in common. I mean, all I’d ever expect and hope for is an autograph. But I can’t think that every verse I relate to isn’t for anything.  Music gets through to me more than any person ever could.

“They say the world’s coming to an end.
Now everybody got a complaint.
Everybody tryna live like they some kind of saint.”

And look how I change

them hood hoes to ladies.

❤ Roddy’s son is fresh, hahahahaha.

I’m really gettin’ into this. “And I ain’t too proud to tell you that I cry sometimes. I cry sometimes, about it. And girl I know it hurt. But if this world was perfect, then we can make it work, but I doubt it.”
